The CPS is a leftist political party in the Socialist Republic of Sveland, advocating for Marxist principles, strong anti-imperialist policy, and a progressive social platform. Founded in the early days of the Svelish Republic, it holds a significant role in national governance and maintains close ideological alignment with radical and democratic socialist movements worldwide. It is currently in coalition with Popular Union, being one of the leading parties in Sveland.

The CPS identifies as a Marxist party with a broad ideological base. Its core values include:

• Establishment of soviets and the formation of a soviet democratic system in Sveland

While the party officially rejects uncritical support of Stalin's policies, it tolerates a range of internal tendencies, most notably a small Maoist faction which exists in-party known as Hongquan. The party remains resolutely opposed to right-wing authoritarianism, bureaucracy, and prioritizes social progress, economic justice, and internationalism.

A majority of the party rejects Stalin's theory of socialism in one country, however rejects the idea that it is a Trotskyist political party.

The CPS is situated between the left-wing and far-left of the political spectrum. It maintains a cooperative relationship with the Popular Union (PU), and is in a strategic coalition in both the National Assembly and the Senate.

CPS holds a stable presence in national politics, with consistent representation across most provinces. Its power base is strongest in industrial and academic centers, as well as among youth and working-class communities.

The Omigrad Communist Party (Russian: Омиградская коммунистическая партия, Omigradskaja kommunisticheskaja partija) is a communist political party in the Omigrad Autonomous Province, affiliated nationally with the CPS.
